| Am I a Witch? | |||||||||||||||||

People ask me that question often, my answer to them is always "no, I am not a witch, I am Wiccan. Alot of people dont realize that there is a diffrence with the two. The term Witch is a cross culture and cross religous term, witch means primarly being a " wise " man or woman. The term Wiccan is for someone who studies Wicca, the religon.Yes there is Witchcraft within Wicca, but it is not the only thing. Witchcraft to many of us is nothing more than attuning with our gods and attuning with all that is around us.

If I had a nickle for everytime that I have been asked that I would be a rich woman today. There is no easy answer for that question. Some would simply say that it is an earth based religon that worships a god and goddess.That answer doesnt even began to describe it, there is so much to wicca that most people dont know. Yes it is an earth based religon to a degree, but it is also spirit based, energy based and so on. The best thing for anyone to do that is interested in Wicca is to Read. I can recommend a few books, and they with a little study should be able to find for themselves the answer to the question, What is Wicca?
